ASALAM ALAIKUM
First of all, I would like to congratulate you all for the present relative political freedom in the country. Freedom is a great blessing. Before Karzai's administration in Afghanistan, people of Kabul did not have the freedom to gather in a peaceful atmosphere and show their collective view with regard to National issues for 28 years. Now we see that the whole Afghan Nation is with mercy of Allah enjoying the relative political freedom, and due this fact is that we could today arrange this gathering.
Afghan society is (Inshallah) on the due path of democracy. A government of people's choice is democracy and political gatherings is important component of it. The governments of people's choice or democracy can only prevail when the governments know the values and demands of people and than move towards it. Political gatherings form therefore an important chain of communication between nation and government. Our today's gathering is from one hand a proof of a relative democracy in the country and on the other hand is an attempt on a path of supporting democracy to further strengthen this chain of communication between nation and the government. The existence of a relative democracy in the country and the existence of the chain of communication are in my point of view the two important changes in the country for which I would like to congratulate you all.
By means of today's gathering, we would like to express some of our values, demands and judgement to the Afghan government, government of Pakistan and international community.
The main reason of today's gathering is the military operations of Pakistani armed forces inside Afghan soil. A number of people have been killed as a result of this operations and the security situation in those areas has further deteriorated. We would once again like to announce that defending the territorial integrity and defending every part of it is of our highest values and we can not tolerate a smallest deviation in our position. The latest military operation of Pakistani army inside Afghanistan has threatened security and territorial integrity of the country. We strongly condemn the latest aggression of Pakistan, can not tolerate any such aggressions, and we consider the defence of every corner of the country as every Afghan's duty. We are against terrorism and we are volunteers in fight against terrorism, but can not tolerate Pakistan's aggression on our soil on a pretext of terrorism.
We are calling in loud voice upon all foreign powers not to take advantage of the decades long crisis in Afghanistan. No foreign power should think that the government in Afghanistan is weak, Afghans have difference, and to think that it is the right time for aggression and expect due results. We are announcing to the world that with the mercy of Allah, first of all our differences are resolving and secondly we are always united in defending our homeland. We are announcing that for defending parts of Nangarhar and Kunar provinces of Afghanistan invaded by Pakistani forces, all Pashtoons, Tajiks, Hazara, Uzbak and other Afghan tribes are ready and united. For defending the country our national unity is unbreakable.
I am Muslim if Sheit or Sunni I am Afghan if Hazara or Tajik
I am of this country if Pashtoon or Uzbak I am resident of the lovely Afghanistan
Every body living here is just Afghan naming black and white is national loss
Lovely country could be built with national unity this is our believe and this
is our faith
The youths burning in the fire of the country if fall 100
times gets up again
Scarify myself for him who sees his death but yet doesn't give up
No body must imagine that Afghan government is weak and cannot defend his soil. We are sure that Afghan defence forces will not spare any sacrifices in defending their country. In addition to this, history has shown that the nation has played a very big and important role in defence of Afghanistan. The holy war (Jehad) against Russian invading force is a good example of this. Our government is getting stronger (if Allah wills) and the short coming of the governmental forces is filled by local and civilian forces.
Do not consider me weak and don't attack me
I am in my this weakness a great (GARANG)
He is not conscious yet who has hit his head with me against a rock
We are sad that our relations with Pakistan are fade as a result of that countries arm forces invasion on Afghan soil. We want friendly relations with Pakistan because we have a lot of common interests. Peace and security in the region is in the interest of both countries. Both countries have common economical interests in the middle Asia. Until peace and security is not secured in Afghanistan, neither Pakistan nor Afghanistan can attain their interests in the middle Asia. The armament race is in the interest of nobody. All differences in the region must be resolved through negotiations. Our expectations are that, Pakistan should help Afghanistan in restoring peace and security, revival of economy, and in making certain the two country's common interests. Helping a friend in his hard time is very effective in strengthening friendship among them.
Afghanistan has not yet fully recovered from the two-and-a-half decade crisis and conflicts and we therefore expect help from Pakistan in many aspects of the governance, not invasions and interference. The people of Afghanistan are now very sensitive against foreign interference in our internal affairs. Many Afghans consider foreign, especially regional interference the sole cause of the decade-long internal conflict. These internal conflicts and foreign interference has destroyed the Afghan government especially Afghan army and Kabul city. Foreign interference in Afghanistan is a very big problem in Afghan politics. From my point of view, Afghan foreign policy should be laid out in the light of present problems in the country and the available resources. A common foreign policy is meaningless. During Zahir Shah and deceased Daud Khan governments, the main principle of Afghan foreign policy was neutrality. As at that time, the main factor in international politics was the rivalry between east and west, the neutrality policy of Afghanistan was a wise and appropriate policy. Afghanistan has at that time obtained a lot of foreign economic aids. But the foreign interference especially that of the countries of the region during the past 15 years in the internal affairs of Afghanistan has formed a big problem in Afghan politics.
From my point of view, the non-interference of foreigners, especially regional powers, should have a doctrine position in our foreign policy. The base for our friendship with the powers of the region should be non-interference in the internal affairs of one another. Those who assist us in forming a government, strengthening peace and security, applying the rule of law in the country, and economical revival are our friends. But those who are invading our country, is hurdle on the way of government forming process, is hurdle on the way of strengthening peace and security in the country, helping government's oppositions, and those who are sabotaging the economical revival of our country are not our friends.
As I have previously said, we have a lot of common interests with Pakistan and therefore want friendship with hem. But the condition for our friendship is that nobody should interfere in our internal affairs. This is a very hard request and concurrent with the norms and regulations of the international community. On this basis we request the Pakistani authorities never to invade our country; immediately pull out his intruding arm forces; cease helping the enemies of Afghan government. And; help us in revival of the economy within the frame of his available resources; immediately end the current crisis and prepare the ground for a permanent and mutual cooperation.
Afghan is an appreciative nation and never forgets the favours received from others. I am sure that Karzai administration will firmly hold a stretched friendship's hand the same way he has swiftly responded to any invasion and insults.
We are strongly condemns the Pakistani Army invasion on parts of Nangarhar and Kunar provinces and in the mean time hope that this crisis will be ended as soon as possible and the ground is prepared for a permanent and mutual cooperation.
Wa Menallah Tawfeeq
